The Book of Enoch is from a special class of "lost books" that were referenced by the Holy Spirit due to their importance for a particular generation of people. It's the only complete "lost book" still available. It was preserved by the Ethiopian Church for 1700 years until it was discovered by James Bruce in 1773 and later within the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1946.
